Motorcyclist hospitalized after crash in Schaumburg

Two people were hurt in a crash involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle Wednesday afternoon in Schaumburg.

The crash happened at about 3:15 p.m. near the intersection of Meacham and Alogonquin roads.

The driver of the motorcycle and the driver of the passenger vehicle both were transported to a nearby hospital. The motorcyclist remains hospitalized, while the driver of the passenger vehicle was treated and released, police said.

There was no word on any citations issued in the aftermath of the crash.
