Bloomingdale Chamber hosts a Parade of Gingerbread Houses
The Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce’s “Parade of Gingerbread Houses” continues through Jan. 8, 2024. Twenty local businesses and nonprofits display their gingerbread houses for the public.
Residents are invited to visit local small businesses to view their gingerbread houses, each specially decorated with editable decorations.
Participants collect stamps for their map at each stop with each stamp providing them an entry into a drawing to win a $200 prize.
Throughout the month, participants have the chance to win instant prizes, with the first five individuals to obtain three stamps will receive a gift card to a local business. Follow the Bloomingdale Chamber on Facebook to learn about upcoming instant incentives.
The Parade of Gingerbread Houses encourages the public to vote for their favorite house by making a donation into the ballot box. All proceeds collected will be donated to St. Isidore Parish to support their PADS program for the homeless.
Last year, the community’s generosity resulted in a $950 donation, and with more businesses participating this year, the hope is to surpass $1000.
The Bloomingdale Chamber extends heartful gratitude to the sponsors whose support helps make this event possible: NOW Foods, S.B.C. Waste Solutions, and Blue Rock Training Center.
