Memorial service announced for Park Ridge teen who died in crash
A memorial service for a Park Ridge teen killed in a recent auto accident in downstate Carbondale will be held Sunday.
Visitation for Wolfgang W. Gustaveson, 19, is set to begin at 11 a.m. Sunday, at Simkins Funeral Home, 6251 Dempster St. in Morton Grove. The service will begin at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
Gustaveson and friend Francis "Frank" M. Martinez, 18, of Des Plaines, were killed Dec. 4 when the truck in which they were riding collided with another truck. Both were students at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, and the crash occurred near campus.
Gustaveson was a 2023 graduate of Maine East High School in Park Ridge.
