"Reality Check" explores the challenges and triumphs of everyday family life, delivering a powerful message of hope, redemption and the unwavering strength of faith.

Reginald Baldwin, who has earned recognition for his outstanding work in the world of gospel stage plays, said, "People believe we take the time (at HOPE) to write plays about different issues in life ... but (at HOPE) we invest our time to write plays addressing issues that will change peoples' lives..."

"We believe that the stage is a powerful platform to spread messages of love and hope," Angela Baldwin said. "'Reality Check' is our way of sharing the beauty of faith and hope, and its ability to guide us through life's challenges."

The play features a cast of community actors and singers.

The performance will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, in the North Chicago Community High School Auditorium, 1717 17th St., North Chicago. Doors open at 6 p.m.
