Schaumburg ranks 5th in national survey of tech-savvy cities

The village of Schaumburg placed fifth in the 2023 Digital Cities Survey, in the first year the village competed in a category of larger municipalities with populations between 75,000 and 124,999 residents.

The survey evaluates municipalities across the country and ranks their performance on a variety of technical fronts such as strategic planning, constituent engagement, transparency, innovation, project management, network infrastructure and network security.

"Ranking in the top five in the larger population category is a significant accomplishment," Schaumburg Director of Information Technology Peter Schaak said. "Finishing near the top with such tough competition recognizes the organization's commitment to providing the best possible technology services and solutions for employees, residents, businesses, and visitors."
