Wauconda FBLA Partnership with Business Team helps new bakery

Lots-a-Knots on Main Street in Wauconda had their grand opening on Oct. 21. This new Italian bakery sells an assortment of pastries, including brownies, cannolis, and their family's specialty: knot cookies.

The inspiration behind their recipes and decorum was their late Nonna Rose, who created the original lemon knot and prompted their slogan to be "Not your Nonna's Knots."

The bakery is painted in an array of pink, white and black polka dots to honor their nonna and her signature colors and patterns.

The Wauconda Future Business Leaders of America Partnership with Business Team has partnered up with this new business in helping them with their social media, website development, window displays and more.

The FBLA Partnership with Business Team is a competitive event where FBLA teams pick a local company and help them with their business needs.

Jacobbe and Danielle Tereza, owners of the establishment and a mother/son duo, believe in bringing delicious baked goods and a warm, welcoming family atmosphere to all who walk through their doors.

They sell weekly flavors, including Strawberries n' Cream, Joyful Almond, and Mocha.

Lots-a-Knots Bakery is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesdays to Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays.
