Naperville Central student wins national High School News Story of the Year award

Naperville Central High School student Nathan Yuan recently received the High School News Story of the Year award at the National Scholastic Press Association's convention.

His illuminating piece, "The Hidden Homeless," has shed light on a pressing issue and earned him well-deserved nationwide recognition. It was published last May in the school's news publication, Central Times.

The district also congratulates seniors Jake Pfeiffer, Nolan Shen and Jimmy Dalton, as well as the staff of Central Times and Flight yearbooks who have all placed at the convention.

Their achievements are a testament to Naperville Central's commitment to fostering talent, nurturing creativity, and facilitating impactful journalism.
