Police investigating armed robbery of Glendale Heights business

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a Glendale Heights business early Thursday morning.

According to Glendale Heights police, officers responded to Prairie State Gaming, located in the 300 block of Wall Street, at 5 a.m., for a report of an armed robbery.

An employee told police that two suspects, one armed with a semi-automatic handgun, confronted him as he arrived at the business. They ushered him into the business and took a large amount of cash before leaving in a vehicle, the employee told police.

Police said the employee was not injured.
