Preventing Business Disputes the topic of upcoming presentation

Solving business disputes will be the focus of an upcoming Schaumberg Business Association meeting on Oct. 10. A team of business law attorneys from Lavelle Law will cover the topic and identify steps that can be taken to avoid litigation when ownership conflicts arise.

Presenting will be Managing Partner Ted McGinn along with attorneys Jennifer Tee, Jack Lydon and Frank Portera. The panel will discuss the importance of creating the correct documentation when businesses are formed including shareholder and operating agreements that can prevent or solve conflicts among owners down the road.

"When people enter a business together, they have the best intentions and envision a successful working relationship," said McGinn. "But the reality is that many businesses encounter problems along the way. Our team will lay out a plan that helps prevent the worst-case scenarios and can lead to a peaceful parting if things don't work out."

The Good Morning Schaumberg series event titled "The Formula for Great Business Partners" begins at 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 10, and is scheduled to last 90 minutes.
