Sign up for Maker Day by Saturday

Applications to present at Wheaton Public Library's Maker Day remain open through Saturday at wheatonlibrary.org/makerday.

The purpose of Maker Day is to promote a love for learning in science, technology, engineering, art and math. It features live demonstrations and hands-on activities from 2 to 4 p.m. on the library's main and lower levels.

"My favorite part about Maker Day is the excitement for all aspects of STEAM," said Rachel Weiss-Binder, youth services department head. "I love seeing attendees interacting with our presenters and stations as they learn something new."

There will be stations throughout the library focusing on a variety of projects, including robotics and art. Many of the activities are created by the local community.

Those with a talent in technology, crafting, engineering or art are invited to apply to provide take-and-make stations, activities and demonstrations. For information, visit wheatonlibrary.org/makerday or call (630) 668-1374.
