World of Flavors food festival takes over Geneva Commons Sept. 30-Oct. 1
Geneva Commons is launching a World of Flavors food festival, a two-day culinary extravaganza set to delight taste buds and bring the community together, on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.
"This is a cultural event like none other and welcomes a diverse mix of culinary eats and musical treats," said Yahayra Argueta, marketing director and event organizer for World of Flavors.
World of Flavors is set to transform Geneva Commons into a food lover's paradise. Food vendors hailing from Geneva and the surrounding areas will converge on the Commons, showcasing their delectable and diverse culinary offerings. From mouthwatering dishes to tantalizing beverages, this festival promises a world of flavors for all to savor.
Sample an array of dishes from many local food vendors, and immerse yourself in cultural entertainment and live music.
Snap photos in front of themed backdrops or explore retailer booths for unique finds.
Participate in raffles for a chance to win gift cards and more.
Passport to Flavor
While admission to the festival is free, guests have the option to pre-purchase a passport for $30. The passport includes select food and drink tasting tickets and exclusive tastes at the event. Passports are available for purchase at the Geneva Commons mall office during office hours (10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday to Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday) or directly at the event on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, while supplies last.
For those who prefer to explore without a passport, food and drinks can be purchased directly from the booths.
Entertainment Extravaganza
On Saturday, Sept. 30, there will be the Samba 1 Brazilian Dance Group at 4 p.m., Mariachi Estrellas de Chicago at 5 p.m., Raks Inferno 6 p.m., and Hi Infidelity at 7 p.m.
On Sunday, Oct. 1, it will be the Projecto 7 Salsa Band at12:30 p.m., Blooz Brothers at 1:40 p.m., Mariachi Sirenas at 4 p.m., Ballet Folklorico Yetlanezi at 5 p.m., and Semple Band at 6:30 p.m.
