CLC offers tips to stay safe online during Cybersecurity Month

As life becomes more digital, you can never be too careful protecting yourself online. This October during Cybersecurity Month, College of Lake County (CLC) is holding sessions every Wednesday to help the community learn what they can do to protect themselves.

"While we continue to see new cybersecurity threats on a consistent basis, proven safety methods are still effective," said CLC Cybersecurity Engineer Przemek Wozniakowski. "Using fundamental cybersecurity practices continues to be one of the best tools that we have available for protecting our systems and data."

CLC also trains future cybersecurity professionals with a cybersecurity certificate and a pathway in the computer information technology (CIT) program. Students in the program can also work with CLC's cybersecurity team and gain experience.
