No foul play suspected in Northfield Township death

No foul play is suspected in the death of a man pulled from a pond Monday in an unincorporated area near Glenview.

Hari Khanal, 50, died Monday morning, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. Khanal's hometown is unknown.

About 9:20 a.m., Cook County sheriff's police and the Glenview Fire Department responded to a report of a body in a pond near 600 Naples Court in Northfield Township, officials said.

Khanal was pronounced dead at the scene, sheriff's police said.

The medical examiner's report showed 9:38 a.m. as the time of death. No manner or cause of death was listed.

The investigation is ongoing, officials said.
