Portion of Willow Avenue in Wheaton closing Saturday for school event

A block of Willow Avenue near downtown Wheaton will be temporarily closed Saturday during a St. Michael Parish School event.

The closure will run between Wheaton Avenue and West Street from approximately 2 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The city says drivers should choose an alternate route and use caution when traveling near the area.

The school is scheduled to host a "Welcome Back" Mass and social for families Saturday.
