Mundelein Police Department to Host Popular Cops N' Bobbers Fishing Derby

PERFECT SATURDAY MORNING OUTING WITH THE KIDDOS!!! The Mundelein Police Department's Annual Cops "N' Bobbers fishing derby takes place THIS WEEKEND July 22, 2023 from 8 a.m. to Noon at the Mundelein Seminary - 1000 East Maple Avenue. NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED! The event is FREE and the first 100 children will get a FREE T-Shirt.

The seminary lake will be stocked with sun fish and a limited supply of bait will be provided, so participants are encouraged to bring their own bait and pole. A limited number of poles will be available. Adults will be required to have a fishing license if they are fishing. Children under 16 are not required to have a license. Adults may assist their child without a license. Raffle drawings and prizes for the biggest fish, smallest fish and the most fish caught!!!

Parents bring your kids and their fishing poles and spend the morning fishing in a lake on the seminary property and having fun interacting with Mundelein police officers in a casual setting. The derby is a great chance for families to spend quality time together.

Additionally, food and non-alcoholic beverages are allowed in the Seminary so feel free to bring a picnic lunch. An adult must accompany all participants.
