Elgin Area Chamber's 'Ladies on the Links' networking event returns Aug. 2

The Elgin Area Chamber of Commerce's Women's Leadership Circle is hosting its second annual "Ladies on the Links" social networking event on Wednesday, Aug. 2, at The Highlands of Elgin.

This popular casual event returns for the second year as an opportunity for women to brush up on their golf skills, socialize and relax. The event offers a nonjudgmental atmosphere for first time or seasoned golfers.

It will be 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the golf course, 875 Sports Way. Guests can register online at ElginChamber.com. Cost is $30 per person.

Guests will meet on the driving range with the club's golf professional for golf instruction at 4:30 p.m.; hit a bucket of golf balls on the range at 5 p.m., followed by relaxation and networking in the clubhouse for appetizers and a cash bar in the Grumpy Goat Tavern at the Highlands of Elgin at 5:30 p.m.

The Women's Leadership Circle, established in 2021, is a collaboration of women leaders to help build relationships and extend personal and professional development. The group meets monthly alternately for lunch at 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and an evening reception from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
