Unincorporated Electric Aggregation Program ends in Palatine Township

The Palatine Township Board recently received fixed rate offers via a blind competitive bid process to renew its electric aggregation program which expires at meter read dates in October 2023. Three suppliers responded. The lowest bid received was 7.25ยข per kWh, offering no guarantee of savings for residents.

Electric utility customers will receive a notice in September from ComEd, "Confirmation of Change in Electric Supplier," informing of their switch back to ComEd. No further action need be taken.

Beware: As other companies learn of the end of this program, aggressive marketing tactics may be employed via mail, phone, text, or door-to-door callers in the community. It is never advised to reveal your ComEd account number to any solicitor, nor to authorize switching of your account until you understand all charges, terms, and conditions of any rates, variable rates or added fees.

Any technical rate related questions, please contact hello@ilagg.com for assistance.
