Lombard names 'Hidden Gems of Lombard' photo contest winners

The village of Lombard recently announced this year's top-winning photographs of the 2023 "Hidden Gems of Lombard" photo contest, in which residents and guests were invited to submit photos of the unique and special places that make Lombard such a wonderful place to live, work and visit.

The winning entries of the photo contest are as follows:

• First place - "A Living Monet in Lilacia" by Jan Eigenfeld

• Second place - "A View from Afar" by Kim Cooper

• Third place - "Dog Days of Summer at 4 Seasons Park" by Rich Kastory

All three of the top-placing photos will be displayed at the village hall, will be used on the village's website, and will be featured in an E-Pride Newsletter. The winners will also receive Visa gift cards valued at $100, $50 and $25, respectively.

"I would like to thank everyone who participated in this year's contest. The competition was intense, with so many stunning photographs that showcased Lombard's unique charm," stated Trustee Dan Militello, chair of the Community Relations Committee, which selects the winning photos. "We applaud the winners for their ability to capture the hidden gems that make Lombard such a remarkable place."
