Live music, fireworks and carnival at West Chicago Railroad Days June 22-25

Make tracks to the annual West Chicago Railroad Days on Thursday to Sunday, June 22-25, at Pioneer Park, 479 W. Forest Ave.

It will feature some of the hottest bands from Chicago Latin Groove, Spillage, 4th Point to Calaveras LD, local entertainers and more.

There will be fireworks at dusk on Saturday, June 24. Free shuttle bus service will be operating from 6 to 11 p.m.

Stop by and try some of the best local food, ice cream, and treats from the area.

Bring the family on Saturday, June 24, for the Kids Zone from noon to 2 p.m. It will feature Miss Liz Music and local organizations and businesses that will have activities for the children.

Musical entertainment will include the rock and heavy metal band Spillage, with a special guest appearance by Bruce Franklin of Trouble, and the alternative and classic rock band 4th Point, starting at 7 p.m. Friday.

On Saturday, groove with Nicci & the Ultrasonic Gin & Tonics at 5 p.m. The Naperville band OMT will be hitting the stage with rock, indie and country music.

Run Forrest Run will be playing 1990s rock, R&B and alternative music at 9 p.m.

On Sunday, enjoy salsa, cumbia, merengue, Latin jazz and more with Chicago Latin Groove and the Latin rock/jazz band Calaveras LD.

Festival hours for the carnival, beer garden and entertainment are: 5:30 to 10 p.m. Thursday, 5:30 to 11 p.m. Friday, 1 to 11 p.m. Saturday, and 2:30 to 10 p.m. Sunday.

There will be carnival wristband specials all evening on Thursday, 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, and 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

Look for the USAgain TreeMachine to drop off your gently used clothing shoes and accessories at this year's Railroad Days Festival. Visit their tent to learn more about the impact of secondhand clothing and the chance to win prizes and giveaways.

Festivalgoers should take note of the parking restrictions on both sides of the following streets: Weyrauch Street from Brown Street to the end of Weyrauch Street; Kenwood Avenue from Ann Street to Brown Street; Lyman Avenue from Brown Street to Forest Avenue; Pomeroy Street from Pearl Street to the Pomeroy Street cul-de-sac; Brown Street from Pearl Street to Sherman Street; and Sherman Street from Ann Street to Brown Street.
