Bloomingdale Area Women In Business awards three scholarships

Bloomingdale Area Women in Business recently awarded $2,500 in scholarships to three highly deserving adult females who are looking to improve themselves professionally by such means as continued education or professional development with the goal of furthering her knowledge and expertise.

This scholarship opportunity is made possible by three generous donors.

The scholarships were funded by donations from Cornerstone Faith Community Church, Emboldened Wealth Management and Neil J. Moscicki, CPWA, CFP, ChFC - Wintrust Wealth Management. Unlike many scholarships being awarded during this time, this scholarship is awarded to an adult woman, usually already in her career path.

"As a woman owned business with an all women team, we are elated to support the education and empowerment of other women in our community," said Stephanie Fuller from Embolden Wealth Management.

• Jennifer Blose is a licensed massage therapist and sole owner of Purpose - Therapeutic Massage. She decided to changed her career path from the corporate world to doing something she really enjoyed. By the end of 2022, she had completed her certification and opened her own business. She is very active in the Bloomingdale Chamber, BAWIB group and the Bloomingdale Leads ONE group - helping others to grow their business as well. Blose has been enrolled at the Somatic Movement Center and would like to complete her Somatic education there. This scholarship will help her do that.

• Cynthia Martinez is a dental assistant at Simply Dental, as well as an undergraduate student at Marquette School of Dentistry School where she finds her cosmetic dentistry courses very interesting. She also spends time volunteering at a hospice and healthcare clinic. She would like to become as dentist, where she can help others with their health and incorporate some of her artistic side in treatment procedures.

• Anna Litonjua is a registered nurse field manager for Elite Care at Home and is pursuing her career as a family nurse practitioner. On the weekends, she works at a home for deaf and blind children with developmental delay issues. She is pursuing her Masters of Science in Nursing. Through her education, she can better focus on patients, their environment as a whole, and also provide high quality care.

Bloomingdale Area Women in Business is a group of women who are seeking to expand professional opportunities for themselves in the Bloomingdale area. Bloomingdale Women in Business are looking for women who possess the ability to: "empower, embrace and equip women with the knowledge and resources to achieve their personal goals and reach their professional potential."
