Naperville Fine Art & Artisan Fair to feature over 100 artists June 24-25
The 63rd annual Naperville Fine Art & Artisan Fair, the longest running art fair in the state, will showcase more than 100 artists and artisans on June 24-25 at Naper Settlement.
The two-day juried fair features ceramics, drawing, fiber arts, glass, metal, painting, photography, wood, jewelry and sculpture.
It will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Naper Settlement, 523 S. Webster St.
This year, the Naperville Woman's Club has once again selected a piece of art from an exhibiting artist that will be reproduced into an 8-foot by 12-foot mural.
Attendees are invited to show their talent in an interactive community mural project. This painting will be broken down into 216 8-foot by 8-foot sections for visitors to paint from a sample.
Each completed section will be stapled to the wooden frame and eventually the entire painting comes to life.
This year's selected painting was created by artist Gregory Frederic. The inspiration for his "Chase The Dream" came from emotion he felt through music, human form, injustices and people he meets. He has been mentored by other successful Haitian artists and custom mixes most of his acrylic colors to create the desired depth and vibrant synergy within each piece. He describes his work as modern eclectic with a bit of surrealistic cubism.
In addition, this event will offer live entertainment, a balloon artist, photo opportunities, and a Petite Picasso area for budding artists.
Enjoy a variety of food and drinks including adult beverages while appreciating the artists works displayed on the beautiful grounds of the Naper Settlement.
