Deer Park Town Center to offer up summer fun
Deer Park Town Center, an outdoor lifestyle shopping center, is gearing up for the summer season with family-friendly events, including outdoor movie nights, the return of the Food Truck Series and the Deer Park Music and Wine Festival.
Deer Park Town Center, 20530 N. Rand Road, Deer Park, is the summer destination for various seasonal activities.
This year's summer programming lineup includes:
Outdoor Movie Nights
Preshow activities start at 6 p.m. Fridays, June 9, July 21 and Sept. 8, and include face painting, a balloon artist, yard games, and a meet and greet with characters on select dates.
Movies begin at 7 p.m., including:
• June 9, "Encanto"
• July 21, "Trolls"
• Sept. 8, "The Super Mario Bros. Movie"
Families can bring their own blankets, lawn chairs, and grab takeout from Deer Park Town Center restaurants to enjoy during the movie.
These free movies will be shown in the road by Brighton, near the traffic circle.
Food Truck Series
Food trucks will be on-site from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturdays, June 24, Aug. 19 and Oct. 14. Guests will enjoy a rotating selection of food trucks, outdoor seating, a DJ, and family-friendly atmosphere with lawn games and activities.
Admission for the event is free and parking is available for the public.
Food trucks will be located on the road in front of Pottery Barn and Kendra Scott, near the traffic circle.
Music and Wine Festival
This year's event will feature a lineup of jazz, R&B, blues and soul artists for all ages from 1-8:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12.
Free admission; attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs because of limited seating. A curated selection of fine wines and craft beers will be available for purchase, cash only.
All events are weather-dependent and may be canceled at any time. No outside food, beverages or coolers permitted.
