Student driver crashes into tree, taken to hospital with minor injuries

A Grant Community High School student driver crashed into a tree Tuesday and was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, Fox Lake police said.

The student lost control of the vehicle on a side street near the school at 285 E. Grand Ave. and was treated at Northwestern McHenry hospital, police said.

Two other students were in the vehicle; they were released to parents at the scene.

No other information has been released.
