Mount Prospect Public Library announces Summer Reading Program: Find Your Voice

Your voice has power! Explore your interests, discover new passions, and express yourself through the summer reading challenge June 1-July 31.

Visit the Main Library, South Branch, or sign up online at www.mppl.beanstack.org to get started, then track your reading and check in for prizes.

Children can count their days read or days someone reads to them to earn prizes. Once registered, children are eligible to receive a free T-shirt, while supplies last. Teens and adults can choose any books to read, including fiction, nonfiction, graphic novels, young adult books, audiobooks, and e-books. Keep track of minutes read and check in for prizes.

Specialty themed programming will take place throughout June and July, including the Make Some Noise Family Workshop on Monday, June 12, where families can imagine ways to make the world a better place and find inspiration by learning about other changemakers. The Monday morning Good Morning Sunshine concert series for families features well-known artists who share their voice through music and song. Teens and adults can explore their interests through craft, gardening, historical, and book discussion programs.

Find resources, materials, and programs at the library to develop your story beyond words.

For information, visit www.mppl.org, stop by the library, or call 847-253-5675.
