Warrenville hosts Arbor Day event April 29
Warrenville's Environmental Advisory Commission is hosting an Arbor Day Celebration on Saturday, April 29.
It will take place from 10 a.m. to noon at Warrenville Park District, 3S260 Warren Ave.
There will be a magnolia tree raffle and silent auction. Bids start at $5 per seedling. Raffle tickets are $5 or five for $20. You must be present to win.
The event also features free tree giveaways, a ceremonial tree planting, door prizes and light refreshments.
At the Environmental Fair, learn how to mulch trees correctly, compost, and maintain lawns without pesticides.
Vendors will provide educational information on native plants, local wildlife, proper recycling techniques, and more.
