Schaumburg A.M. Rotarians to host April 19 Souper Bowl of Soups Cook-Off fundraiser

The Schaumburg A.M. Rotary Club Foundation - a nonprofit community service organization - will host its "Souper Bowl of Soups Cook-Off" soup tasting fundraiser on Wednesday evening, April 19. This is an indoor event taking place from 5-7 p.m., on the suite level of Schaumburg's Wintrust Field, at 1999 S. Springinsguth Road, in Schaumburg.

Participants will sample soups prepared by area restaurants and vote for their favorite soup with the Cook-Off champion being announced at the end of the event. Attendees will also earn a chance to win a $300 gift card donated by Perry's Steakhouse & Grille, in Schaumburg, by tasting all soups entered in the competition.

Restaurants donating soup for tasting include Bar Down Catering, Chandler's, Chicago Marriott Schaumburg, El Mero Mero, India Foodie Lounge, Maxfield's Pancake House, Mezé Mediterráno, Moretti's, PhoDay Vietnamese Eatery, qp greek food with a kick, Seafeast Sushi, Sunny Bowls, Sweet Orange Pancake House & Café, Thai Siri, and Uncle Bill's Diner.

Parking is free and a cash bar will be available.

Cook-Off proceeds will address neighborhood hunger by supporting the Schaumburg Township Food Pantry and the School District 54 Education Foundation's Food 4 Thought breakfast program, in addition to other areas of need as determined by Schaumburg A.M. Rotary.

Event sponsors include Schaumburg Bank & Trust and the Schaumburg office of Baird & Warner.

Tickets are $20 for adults (age 18+), $10 for children (ages 6-17). There is no charge for children, age 5 and younger. Walk-ins are welcome.
