CLC Wind Ensemble to perform famous movie music

Come listen to the iconic soundtracks from some of your favorite movies as the College of Lake County Wind Ensemble presents "A Night at the Movies" from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, April 30, at the James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts, 19351 W. Washington St., Grayslake.

The concert features music from movies "Raiders of the Lost Ark," "Singin' In the Rain," "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," "The King and I," "The Magnificent Seven," "The Wizard of Oz" and "Star Wars."

Some of the famous pieces include "Darth Vader's Imperial March," "Singin' in the Rain," "Follow the Yellow Brick Road" and more.

The 45-member performance group encompasses musicians from all walks of life, including CLC students, local high school music teachers and community members who enjoy the camaraderie of playing music at a high level.

The ensemble features talented musicians playing woodwind, brass and percussion instruments.

Tickets, $8; $7 for seniors, military and students, are available online at www.jlcenter.clcillinois.edu/college-events-music, or visit the James Lumber Center Box Office, P112, at the Grayslake Campus. Box office hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
