As department chair, Canchola led a team of 50 staff members including counselors, psychologists, nurses, social workers, interns, support staff and academic interventionists, District 225 officials said.
She became a dean of students in October 2021.
Canchola, of Skokie, listed her undergraduate degree in social work from Loyola University. She has master's degrees in social service administration from the University of Chicago, and school leadership from Olivet Nazarene.
