Donations for Carmel Catholic Street Scenes Eclipses $12 Million

Carmel Catholic High School's 49th annual Street Scenes fundraiser held this past February raised $350,000 and welcomed over 4,000 guests to the Mundelein campus. This year's theme, "Celebrate the Seasons', featured the return of this hugely popular event to its traditional February window after being held outside last summer.

"We were so happy to be reunited in person and enjoy a myriad of Street Scenes' favorites including the amazing Student Show, the Irish Pub, the Waukegan and Lake Zurich Variety Shows, magicians, and a wide selection of live music and much more," said Director of Advancement Lois Poulos. "We reconnected with old friends, made new ones, and enjoyed the fellowship that comes with just being together. Our amazing volunteers logged over 2,100 hours for this cherished production."

Proceeds from the school's largest annual fundraiser go toward financial assistance, essential programming, and capital improvements. To date, Street Scenes has raised over $12,000,000 to support its mission.

"The funds we raise during Street Scenes allow us to keep the vision of our founding communities alive in the here and now," reflected Poulos. "Our Corsairs of today and those that will follow tomorrow are the true beneficiaries of the support we receive. Thanks to the generosity of our families and friends of Carmel Catholic, we can continue to serve our mission and create a lasting and impactful legacy."

Carmel Catholic High School's 50th annual Street Scenes is scheduled for February 9-10, 2024. For more information, to request a local band interested in performing, or for sponsor or volunteer opportunities, please contact mptasienski@carmelhs.org.
