One rescued from fire in Naperville

One person was rescued early Wednesday from a fire in a multi-tenant building in Naperville.

According to officials, firefighters responded at 4:52 a.m. to the 300 block of North Avenue, just north of the city's historic district. They found fire showing from the front of the building's second floor.

No one was injured. Seven occupants were cleared from the two-story building in addition to the person who required rescuing. Other occupants left the building on their own.

The fire was brought under control within 10 minutes, according to officials. Crews remained on the scene for another hour for salvage operations.

What caused the fire remains under investigation.
