Deer Park village board favor incumbents in early returns

This story has been updated to correct the name of candidate Michael Mann.

Deer Park voters were faced with a tough choice Tuesday - they needed to vote for a trio of village board trustees out of four candidates with experience.

Incumbents Jimi Psarakis, David Lemme and James Oakley, were joined by former trustee Michael Mann on the ballot.

As of 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oakley, Lemme and Mann had the inside track.

In a close race, Oakley led with 330 votes, 29.1% of the total, followed by Lemme with 313 votes, Mann with 254 votes, and Psarakis trailing with 237 votes, unofficial totals show.

Mann lost his seat in the 2021 election.
