Mount Prospect police giving out steering wheel locks

In response to a high number of vehicle thefts, the Mount Prospect Police Department is giving away steering wheel locks for Kia and Hyundai cars that are a 2021 model or older with a key ignition start.

To receive a free lock, go to the police headquarters at 911 E. Kensington Road. You must provide proof of Mount Prospect residency or employment as well as vehicle registration.
