Warrenville Public Library welcomes new executive director
The Warrenville Public Library District named Jason Stuhlmann as the new executive director, effective Feb. 6, 2023.
Stuhlmann comes to the district from another suburban library, where he spent 20 years building a successful career, most recently as assistant library director.
Throughout his career, Stuhlmann has been dedicated to finding ways to improve services and grow the impact of libraries in their communities. His extensive experience in youth services, expanding programming and outreach efforts, along with streamlining policies and procedures, was instrumental in his selection as the new executive director.
Stuhlmann is eager to lead Warrenville library and build on its existing achievements. He was drawn to the library's beautiful building and its friendly, positive and supportive environment as evidenced by the dedicated staff and the library board of trustees.
"I am thrilled to be joining the Warrenville Public Library District," Stuhlmann said. "The library has a long history of being committed to the community and I am excited to be a part of its future. I look forward to working with everyone as we continue to find new and innovative ways to serve our members."
The Warrenville Public Library District is dedicated to providing its visitors with the best possible library experience. With his leadership and expertise, the library is poised to continue its legacy of excellence and growth in the years to come.
Warrenville residents will have the opportunity to officially meet Stuhlmann at the National Library Week Open House on Sunday, April 23, from 1 to 4 p.m. The theme is "There's More to the Story." Science kits, tools and other items will be on display. Light refreshments and library tours will be provided.
Warrenville Public Library District serves a community of 14,000 residents in DuPage County in west suburban Chicago. The library operates out of a single facility located at 28W751 Stafford Place, Warrenville. It is a member of the SWAN Library Services consortium, making over 8,000,000 items available to its public.
