Q&A

Q: Why are you running for this office, whether for reelection or election the first time? Is there a particular issue that motivates you?

A: Being part of solution is far better than just watching, my life motto is "Integrity, Heart, Service"

Q: What is the role of the school board in setting and monitoring curriculum?

A: Making sure the children are safe and healthy so they can be properly educated and learn solid skills to thrive in all areas of life.

Q: Are there curriculum issues within the district that you feel need particular attention from the board?

A: Not so much within the curriculum, I see potential for improvement in areas of mutual (4 -way) communication, teaching social-emotional and behavioral skills, and leading by personal example.

Q: How do you view your role in confronting policy or curriculum controversies: provide leadership even if unpopular, give a voice to constituents - even ones with whom you disagree, or defer to state authorities?

A: Communication is the key, asking questions, seeking healthy balance and always looking more for what we can agree on, what is the common target and the optimal way to reach it. Using brain, heart, courage, plus feedback from the voters is the foundation of a true representation (democracy) and service.

Q: Concerns are growing regarding a new resurgence of the pandemic. If another massive outbreak of infectious disease occurs, what have we learned from the COVID-19 pandemic that will guide your decision making?

A: That panic and fear ("False Evidence Appearing Real") make always things worse. Wisdom and educated decisions, based on verified facts and knowledge work the best.

Q: Describe your experience working in a group setting to determine policy. What is your style in such a setting to reach agreement and manage school district policy? Explain how you think that will be effective in producing effective actions and decisions of your school board.

A: I worked as a volunteer Union Leader for my 300 colleagues for two years. I successfully and peacefully negotiated collective agreements, got respect from the firm top management to the point of being offered a management position. I am a parent of two great and well-rounded young adults, and I work in area of communication, health and relationships for several years. I am a natural mediator and problem solver (through communication). I am a team player, fully capable of creating and sharing my own independent viewpoint.

Q: What makes you the best candidate for the job?

A: I have solid life experience, education, character, communication skills, good sense of balance (and humor), and ability to be flexible, open minded, and to produce measurable positive results!

My both children and my life are the best proof of my qualifications for this volunteer position.

Q: What's one good idea you have to better your district that no one is talking about yet?

A: One? (lol) Raising self awareness and healthy social standards by vigorous self honesty. Teaching human anatomy on both levels - physical body and also psyche. Teaching and practicing behavioral health. Transparent and honest 4-way communication (staff, community, parents, students). Leading more, pushing less. Bringing more life, health, happiness and human skills (self esteem), while maintaining advanced technologies and solid academic skills. First - our kids are precious and unique human beings, second - they are students.
