Celebrate spring at Acappellago concerts March 18-19

Acappellago will present "Escape to ... Springtime, the Only Pretty Ringtime" at two concerts in March.

The a cappella choir will feature the music of spring at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 18, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 350 E. Madison St. in Lombard, and 3 p.m. Sunday, March 19, at the Congregational Church of Batavia, 21 S. Batavia Ave.

Shakespearean madrigals will mingle with the Beatles' "Here Comes the Sun" and "Good Day Sunshine," as well as compositions by Antonio Carlos Jobim, Ralph Vaughan Williams, the inimitable PDQ Bach, Sting, and many others.

Tickets are $17 or $15 for students or seniors.

Acappellago, founded in 2002, is an a cappella chamber choir performing in the western suburbs of Chicago. It is a member of Chorus America.
