Libertyville's Ansel Brainerd Cook Chapter, NSDAR supports Deployed Soldiers

The DAR Project Patriot Committee is the official Daughters of the American Revolution committee that supports America's servicemembers and their families.

Libertyville's based Ansel Brainerd Cook Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) recognizes their sacrifices and service to our nation. The Ansel Brainerd Cook Chapter, through Project Patriot, has been sending care packages to deployed service members since 2018.

One of the main ways to help support the active duty deployed military is through sending care packages. Care packages may contain items such candy, cookies, games, cards of appreciation and hygiene products. Members are creative with their care packages in helping to send a box of "home" in appreciation for all the dedication and sacrifice of our active-duty service members.

To date we have sent over 40 care packages all over the world to the deployed Servicemen and Servicewomen. The Project Patriot Chairwomen makes every attempt to include their favorite snacks.

The Ansel Brainerd Cook Chapter members are often seen wearing RED (Remember Everyone Deployed) on Fridays.

If you know of a deployed soldier that would like to receive a care package, please contact us at ABC4DAR@gmail.com

The Ansel Brainerd Cook Chapter, NSDAR, is celebrating our 46th year. The chapter was organized in September 1977 in Libertyville by 17 members. The chapter has now grown to include more than 185 members. In 2022, the ABC chapter members logged in 6,821 volunteer hours in the towns we work and live in.
