Blackhawks deal Jack Johnson to Avalanche

Jack Johnson is getting a chance to repeat as Stanley Cup champion.

The Blackhawks dealt the 36-year-old defenseman to the Colorado Avalanche on Sunday in exchange for D-man Andreas Englund. Johnson, who had 4 points (all assists) in 58 games with the Hawks, helped the Avs claim the Cup in 2022. He has 43 games of playoff experience with four different teams.

The 6-foot-3, 189-pound Englund, 27, has 3 assists and a team-leading 104 hits in 36 games for the Avs. He also played in 15 AHL games.
