West Chicago Park District earns award for Exceptional Workplace

The West Chicago Park District received the Exceptional Workplace Award during IPRA/IAPD's 2023 Conference on Friday, Jan. 27. This award, which lasts until 2027, is given to organizations that are dedicated to employee health and wellness.

The application for the award involved an online self-assessment whose answers were measured by IPRA's Health and Wellness Committee. Supporting documents included a work-from-home policy, a diversity/inclusion statement, an environmental report card, and a wellness policy.

The West Chicago Park District understands that a work-life balance is essential to a person's well-being and can lead to a more fulfilling life, both at home and in the office. Opportunities for professional and personal growth, smooth interdepartmental collaboration, and a great working culture have created an environment where employees feel heard and valued.
