Q: Why are you running for this office, whether for reelection or election the first time? Is there a particular issue that motivates you?

A: Physical and mental safety of the children

Q: What is the role of the school board in setting and monitoring curriculum?

A: School board monitor district activities to ensure that annual progress is being made, achievement gaps are closing, and the public is kept informed about student progress. School boards are the link between the schools and the communities served by their schools. School board work with our communities to improve student achievement in their local public schools. School boards derive their power and authority from the state.

Q: Are there curriculum issues within the district that you feel need particular attention from the board?

A: The quality of the content which children take away is sliding.

Q: How do you view your role in confronting policy or curriculum controversies: provide leadership even if unpopular, give a voice to constituents - even ones with whom you disagree, or defer to state authorities?

A: I believe that the existing policies are established with great care and lot of handwork and due diligence. I will understand the spirit of the policies and speak for the approach which is in the benefit of the children and community at large.

Q: Concerns are growing regarding a new resurgence of the pandemic. If another massive outbreak of infectious disease occurs, what have we learned from the COVID-19 pandemic that will guide your decision making?

A: I understand that the reaction the state of Illinois to the COVID-19 pandemic was appropriate.

Q: Describe your experience working in a group setting to determine policy. What is your style in such a setting to reach agreement and manage school district policy? Explain how you think that will be effective in producing effective actions and decisions of your school board.

A: Public health and safety is the top most priority for me. I respect freedom of choice as long as it does not affect others negatively. I will ensure the dignity and physical safety of the school staff so that the school can operate in productive manner.

Q: What makes you the best candidate for the job?

A: I am parent and live in the D87 school district. I am connected with community and I understand community

issues.

Q: What's one good idea you have to better your district that no one is talking about yet?

A: I will make sure existing policies are implemented fairly to nurture the culture of mutual respect and

safeguard our children from bulling, mental harassments.
