A Schaumburg letter to the editor: Stick to the message

The Daily Herald's editorial message on Christmas Day fell flat on its face.

It is obvious the Herald does not want to practice what it preaches. On the one hand, they attempt to extol a message of "peace and harmony," yet in the next breath, they decide to publish a letter entitled "The real danger," which oozes with contempt and furthers the divisiveness they decry. It would have been better to have chosen another letter celebrating the lives of thousands we have lost from the Fentanyl Crisis exacerbated by a Border in name only.

Yes, we can do better, but it's apparent the Daily Herald does not want to practice what it preaches.
