Dr. Brittaney Hill Installed as 2023 New Dentist Board Director of the Chicago Dental Society
Dr. Brittaney Hill, D.D.S., M.S., M.P.H., of Chicago, Illinois, was installed as the 2023 New Dentist Board Director of the Chicago Dental Society (CDS) on November 13. Dr. Hill has held multiple leadership positions with CDS, including Treasurer, President-Elect, and President of the Kenwood/Hyde Park Branch, and served on the Membership and Grants Committees. She currently also serves on the Chicago Dental Society Foundation Board of Trustees.
As the New Dentist Board Director, Dr. Hill will serve one year as a representative and liaison between early career dentists and the CDS Board of Directors and will be a critical voice to provide the perspective of and advocate for new dentists when decisions about the organization, member benefits and events are being considered. Dr. Hill will also assist with the planning and promotion of the 158th Midwinter Meeting, which will be held at McCormick Place West in Chicago, February 23-25, 2023. The Midwinter Meeting is CDS' annual scientific meeting and one of the dental industry's premier events, offering 2023 attendees access to more than 240 courses taught by world-class speakers and today's leaders in dental innovation, live exhibits, and networking opportunities with colleagues and friends.
In addition to her leadership roles with CDS, Dr. Hill has served as a Component Leader and Member of the House of Delegates at the Illinois State Dental Society, Resident Liaison for the Illinois Society of Pediatric Dentists and is involved in the American Dental Association Institute for Diversity in Leadership. Dr. Hill is also a member of the American Dental Education Association, American Public Health Association and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. In 2022, she was the recipient of the American Dental Association Foundation's Dr. David Whiston Leadership Award. Additionally, she currently serves as Pediatric Dentistry Post-Graduate Residency Program Director and full-time Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry.
Dr. Hill holds a bachelor's degree in biology from Xavier University of Louisiana and earned her dental degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. She also earned a Master of Science in Oral Sciences, Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Administration and a certificate in pediatric dentistry from the University of Illinois Chicago.
Dr. Hill lives in Chicago, Illinois where she is actively involved with her church youth ministry and numerous community service organizations, such as Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated, I9 Sports and Big Brothers Big Sisters. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring new restaurants and spending time with family and friends. As an avid sports and music lover, Dr. Hill takes every opportunity to attend concerts and Chicago sporting events. In fact, she has almost met her goal of attending a game for every Chicago sports team.
Established in 1864, CDS is the largest local component of the American Dental Association, with more than 4,000 members in Cook, Lake and DuPage counties.
