Honoring Veterans with Food, Music, and Merriment

On November 11th, Veterans Day, from public ceremonies to private gatherings, Americans demonstrated their gratitude to veterans in many ways.

In Chicago, the president of URB, inc, Brian Urbanowski, and two of his employees served up food, music, and merriment to the veterans residing at the Eddie Beard Vet House.

With plenty of food for the 35 veterans' capacity transitional housing facility to fest on, Eddie Beard Vet House residents delighted in URB Jonn Blazey's spontaneous electric guitar playing, and URB Kim Chernik rallying the veterans in the merriment of the moment in their honor.

"It is a privilege to express gratitude to veterans on a personal level, and rewarding to experience what it means to them," comments Brian Urbanowski. "It is moments like these that you can truly experience being of service to those who served."

Engaging others in sharing enriching experiences in the service of others is at the core of Mr. Urbanowski's connecting companies with charitable causes efforts.

Sharing in this Veterans Day experience of service was the owner of Blaxican Catering, Sean Myers, who prepared the fest for the Eddie Beard Vet House veterans.

The Eddie Beard Vet House is an Inner Voice Chicago transitional housing, case management, and supportive service facility that provides 35 male veterans experiencing homelessness with a safe, comfortable environment where they can live for up to 24 months.

Based in Lincolnwood, Illinois, Brian Urbanowski and his company has been involved in Chicago real estate and charitable causes since 1986.
