Mount Prospect Fire Department hosting food drive Saturday

The Mount Prospect Fire Department is hosting a food drive Saturday to restock the village's emergency food pantry.

From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, the fire and human services departments will accept donation in the front entrance of Costco in Randhurst Village, 999 N. Elmhurst Road, Mount Prospect.

Lists of the most needed items will be available at the door at Costco on the day of the event. Those items include: baby diapers; canned meats, fruits, pasta and vegetables; cereal; coffee, tea and cocoa; cookies; crackers; jam and jelly; juice or juice boxes; paper towels and toilet paper; peanut butter; pudding and pudding cups; pasta sides; school lunch snacks; and spaghetti and pasta sauce.​
