Disturbance at Schaumburg residence remains under investigation, no one in custody

An early morning disturbance at a Schaumburg residence Wednesday that caused one person to seek medical assistance is being classified as an isolated event that did not pose a threat to the general public, police said Thursday.

No one is in custody as a result of the ongoing investigation, but Schaumburg police Lt. Christy Lindhurst could not immediately say whether investigators had access to all parties they might wish to question.

While those involved were known to each other, the incident is not considered a domestic disturbance, she added.

Police did not provide further details Thursday.

Officers responded at 6:35 a.m. Wednesday to a 911 call directing them to a residence on the 1000 block of Newport Harbor, near Hartford and Summit drives, police said.

One person involved was taken to the hospital by a family member for evaluation, police said.
