Ella's Friends book sale to benefit Hampshire library

Ella's Friends, the support group for the Ella Johnson Library in Hampshire, will hold its annual book sale on Oct. 7-9.

The sale will be at Prairie View Garden Center, 48W130 Route 72 in Hampshire, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday to Sunday.

On sale will be all categories of books, DVDs, CDs, and record albums, as well as educational games and puzzles.

Most items are $1 each with children's books on sale for 50 cents. Sunday is a bag sale with a grocery bag of items going for only $5.

Proceeds from the sale go to buy items and support programs which are not in the library's regular budget.

To date more than $23,000 has been raised for the library by Ella's Friends.

Ella's Friends is a 501(c(3 organization comprised of dedicated local volunteers who help raise funds to support library services. Their regular meetings are on the first Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. at the library.
