Meet the fleet: Touch-A-Truck returns to Northbrook Sept. 17

Honk, honk! The annual Touch-A-Truck event returns to Northbrook from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 17, at Underwriters Laboratories, 333 Pfingsten Road.

Kids will get plastic construction hats, plus there will be music so they can move and groove while checking out the awesome machines.

"Children will get to complete a checklist of all the trucks they visited and turn it in for a prize," Recreation Supervisor Nancy Eschker said. "This is a great opportunity for truck and vehicle enthusiasts of all ages to come out to a free community event."

Parental supervision is required; cameras are encouraged. The event will include many loud noises, horns and sirens.

Free admission; no registration required.
