One driver hurt, other charged with DUI in Elk Grove crash

A two-vehicle crash Saturday night in Elk Grove Village resulted in an arm injury to one driver and DUI charges for the other, according to police.
The crash was reported at 9:42 p.m. at the intersection of Arlington Heights and Higgins roads, Elk Grove Village police said.
Mary Beth Shimon, 59, of Schaumburg was charged with two counts of driving under the influence, police said.
The other driver was treated at the scene for an arm injury, according to authorities.
No other information was immediately available Tuesday.
