DeSilva promoted to Fehr Graham branch manager

AURORA - The engineering and environmental firm Fehr Graham announced the promotion of Chris DeSilva to branch manager.

DeSilva, an Elburn resident, was promoted from project manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the firm's Aurora office. He will continue to serve Fehr Graham clients throughout Illinois while leading business development and marketing initiatives.

"We are proud to celebrate Chris stepping into this role," said Mick Gronewold, one of the firm's owners. "Chris is passionate and driven to help our clients and he is an excellent motivator for our staff. His leadership skills, business acumen and technical abilities align perfectly with the firm's goals."

Current branch manager John Frerich has announced his retirement. This succession plan allows DeSilva to transition into the branch manager role.

DeSilva, who joined Fehr Graham in 2019, earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and a master's degree in environmental engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a member of the Water Environment Federation and the Illinois Water Environment Association.
