Kids invited to join Sewing Circle at Mount Prospect Historical Society

Children ages 9 and older are invited to gather in the parlor of the Dietrich Friedrichs House, 101 S. Maple St., Mount Prospect, on the Mount Prospect Historical Society campus for a series of Sewing Circle classes this coming school year.

All levels of experience are welcome. The series consists of three unique classes. Participants are welcome to come for one, two or all three.

Join on Saturday, Oct. 15, to create a sewing kit. The Jan. 28, 2023, class will feature knitting a scarf for your favorite stuffed animal or doll. The series will wrap April 22, with button design embroidery. Each session is from 10 a.m. to noon. All materials will be provided.

"We're excited to bring the classic sewing circle to a new generation," said Deb Rittle, society president and Living History chairwoman. "This cozy series is sure to delight."

Space is limited and registration is required.

The cost is $25 for one session; $40 for two; and $50 for all three.
