Give Summer the Perfect Sendoff at Rolling Meadows Park District's Annual Fish Boil

A Door County tradition is coming to Rolling Meadows Park District!

Fitzgerald's Fish Boil is set for 5:30-7:30pm, Friday, Aug. 19, at the Community Center, 3705 Pheasant Drive. Sponsored by Oak Street Health, Home Instead and Oasis Senior Advisors, the event will feature live music and a flavorful dinner of North Atlantic cod, barbecue chicken with homemade barbecue sauce, coleslaw, potatoes, onions and fresh rye bread. Dessert includes frosted apple squares.

Chefs from Fitzgerald's Genoa Junction of Genoa City, Wisconsin, will be on site cooking the fish in outdoor kettles in the Community Center Parking lot.

"Watching the cooking process with the flames and kettles is definitely an exciting part of the event," said Recreation Supervisor Kailey Schwartzhoff. "This is the perfect way to celebrate the end of summer with music, dancing, friends and a delicious all you can eat feast!"

Chicago Mardi Gras band Zydeco Voodoo will keep the party going with traditional New Orleans music and popular rock and blues songs.

Registration is required. Cost is $27 for adults and children ages 12 and older and $15 for children ages 3-11. Children ages 2 and younger eat free.
